Reasons to come back for your follow-up examinations

  • A free, thorough medical exam every 18 months.
  • Detailed health information. You will receive a confidential report with your test results.
  • Early detection. Regularly testing may detect WTC-related problems that can take years to surface. If that happens, catching it early will help you get the most effective treatment.
  • Expert care. Our doctors are trained to address WTC-related illnesses.
  • Help others like you. Many of your fellow 9/11 responders are sick. By participating in a long-term monitoring program, you can help us understand the health care needs of rescue and recovery workers over time. This will help you and other disaster relief workers in the future.
  • Benefits. If you are entitled to benefits like Workers’ Compensation and disability, we can give you information and advice about them.
  • Protecting yourself and your family. No one knows what lies ahead. The best way to make sure you get the care you need is to keep track of your health.
